This latest 3rd generation of UAD plug-ins have really put the platform over the top for me. There are a lot of great sounding UAD plug-ins, but personally I think the best UAD plug-ins have been the ones released on the UAD-2 exclusively. It would be great if some one could post there experience with them. I can’t speak for the UAD 2 plug-ins because I don’t have any. Teletronix LA-2A Classic Leveling Amplifierĩ. There isn’t so much a difference that a listener to you music could really tell if you used a UAD EQ or a Reaper EQ to cut mud out of 200 Hz.īut if you’re going to buy UAD plug-ins I would recommend these. Your sound could be fixed with an EQ from reaper if you have the right stuff on intake. Your better off buying equipment to correct your sound on intake then spending all kinds of money on processing plug-ins. When I first started I read magazine praising UAD so I took the plunge and got it. Over time I found 3erd party plug-ins that had quality’s to them that I could definitely get by and have a great mix. I can say this because I have every plug-in available for the UAD 1 card. But the concept of buying all the different strips, EQ’s, compressors and fxs available is not ideal. Don’t get me wrong I think UAD has the best processing plug-ins out there.
